Last Splash at the Rec Pool

After the Recreation Pool’s regular season came to a close, the venue hosted a ’50s-themed pool party to celebrate its closing for renovation.

It will be transformed over the next year (including next summer) from a single, all-purpose pool into two: a seasonal one for recreation and a year-round pool for lap swimming, sport clubs and intramurals.

The locker room building will be given a facelift, as it is brought up to code and a new gender-inclusive restroom and shower is added. Outside, a sand volleyball court is planned.

The Rec Pool is scheduled to reopen in summer 2019.
