After a year-long renovation project, the facility now offers two separate pools.

UC Davis’ Recreation Pool reopens June 17, with a grand opening planned for the fall. The facility had been closed since late 2017 to undergo a $10 million renovation. “We aim for all students to feel welcomed into our new facility,” said Jeff Heiser, associate director of recreation with Campus Recreation.

The old pool was replaced with two pools, including this seasonal recreation pool. The deck juts on one side, sectioning off the diving end.

A year-round competition pool was also added with solar panels to help heat it. This will offer expanded opportunities for lap swimming, swim lessons, aqua fitness classes and other special events.
