Dome Sweet Dome

When it comes to student housing, The Domes at UC Davis remain unparalleled. Located at the west end of Orchard Road in an area known as Baggins End, 14 fiberglass domes offer low-cost room and board to students interested in cooperative living. Opened in 1972, and briefly closed in 2011, the Domes continue to operate as an example of a modern democratic, sustainable community.
