Bicycling is still the main mode of transportation at UC Davis, with 46 percent of students and employees riding to campus each day. The university even conducts groundbreaking research on the subject, recently concluding that we could cut energy use and carbon dioxide emissions from urban transport by up to 10 percent by 2050 with a global shift to cycling.
